THE PACT
Inspired by The New York Times bestseller, THE PACT is the provocative true-life story of three extraordinary friends from the 'hood,' who overcame poverty, criminal records and drug-addicted parents to become doctors. With an alarming 50% of students dropping out of school before the 9th grade, this was no easy feat. Now these successful, passionate doctors are out to motivate other inner-city kids to do the same. Produced by Spark Media, this award-winning, hour-long documentary is presented by the National Black Programming Consortium (NBPC) and is distributed by American Public Television (APT). THE PACT premiered on public television stations May 4, 2008 (check local listings).
